Whalen New Program Coordinator
WHALEN NEW PROGRAM COORDINATOR AT CENTENNIAL SENIOR CENTER
Concord, NH – Emily Whalen of Manchester has been hired as the new program coordinator at the Centennial Senior Center.
In her new position, Whalen will develop traditional as well as non-traditional activities, including job training and meaningful volunteer opportunities for the growing number of seniors and new retirees. She will also design classes to meet the physical, emotional, occupational, social, financial and spiritual needs of mature adults. Since beginning her position Whalen has become a certified leader of Bone Builders through Friends RSVP Program and will also be leading classes twice weekly at Centennial.
“We’re very pleased to add Emily to our team,” said Centennial Senior Center Executive Director Vivien Green. “Not only does she possess a great background in senior care, she also possesses the creativity to establish innovative programming that will both inspire and educate those we serve.”
Whalen previously served as ICO Coordinator for Long Term Supports at Granite State Independent Living in Concord, NH as well as Home Care Case Manager & Long Term Care Options Counselor at Elder Services of Merrimack Valley in Lawrence, MA. She graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Psychology in 2008 from Southern New Hampshire University.
