Watercolor is a wonderful and expressive medium. It is also very portable, and the materials and supplies can be easily carried to wherever one may wish. This course will focus on painting roses, hydrangeas, peonies as well other flowers you may wish to paint. This course is designed for those with little or no watercolor experience. Focus on wet and wet into dry watercolor techniques will be a major focus of the course. We will explore color mixing, drawing, lighting and composition as mechanisms to paint the still life set up. Watercolors will be painted from photographs. Demonstrations will be held each day emphasizing the different techniques of the Watercolorist. Personal expression will be encouraged as the artist develops skill with the range of methods open to the watercolor painter.
