CENTENNIAL SENIOR CENTER PARTNERING WITH NHTI ON ART PROGRAM
Concord, NH – Area seniors will have the opportunity to explore their passion for art thanks to a new partnership taking place between the Centennial Senior Center and NHTI’s Visual Arts Program this summer.
Beginning with an introduction to pottery session on June 4, Centennial Senior Center residents will be able to take part in art classes that will allow them to develop their skills in a number of mediums. Other classes will include watercolors, ceramic tiles, sculpture, and charcoal and pastel techniques.
“These summer classes will allow our residents to broaden their horizons and receive quality art instruction by some of the area’s best and most creative instructors,” said Centennial Senior Center Executive Director Vivien Green. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with NHTI and our residents are extremely excited to begin creating some incredible works of art.”
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our Visual Arts faculty and students to relate their passion and knowledge of a variety of mediums with our neighbors from the Centennial Senior Center through a series of non-credit workshops,” said NHTI Visual Arts Department Head Susan Haas. “In turn, we look forward to learning the wealth of history and experiences that these students will share with us, along with discovering their talent and delight through artistic endeavors.”
The price of each four week class is $100 plus the cost of materials which range from $25-$40. For more information about the partnership, contact (603) 228-6630.
